James by Heart for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Last updated October 26, 2026.
The short version. James by Heart does not collect anything about you. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
Your stars, scores, streak, the verses you have learned, your favorites, the chapter you were last on and your settings are saved on your device only. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes them.
The reading of James and the songs are built into the app. Playing them does not contact any server.
The James scenes are built into the app. A few of the other background scenes you can choose behind the player are pictures and short videos kept on our website, ispress.de, and the app downloads one only when you pick it. Like any download it reaches our web server, but the app sends nothing about you with it, and we do not use these downloads to count, identify or follow anyone.
The free week and the one-time unlock are handled entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see your name, your email address or your payment details. The app only asks Apple whether the free week is running or the app has been unlocked on your account. Apple's own privacy policy applies to these purchases.
If you turn on the daily reminder in the app, your device shows it at the time you choose. It is scheduled on your device and nothing is sent to us.
This web page loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google to fetch them. The app itself does not.
James by Heart is suitable for families. It does not ask anyone for personal information and does not knowingly collect any.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
